We're home from our little get-away trip to Illinois. We got home on Thursday afternoon. I went to work with Jeb that Thursday morning so we check right away and not have to go back to the hotel. It was actually nice being at work with Jeb because I can ask my questions right then and there and he'll tell me exactly what I need to do or needs to be done, instead of me trying to figure it out when I work from home. I usually would just call or IM him when I had questions, which you could imagine would be a little challenging. I learn through visual, so sometimes I need to see to know exactly what has to be done. We worked until noon and then headed back home to Wisconsin. A friend of ours invited us to have lunch when we got to Milwaukee. When we got to Milwaukee it was about 2:30pm already. We ate at an authentic Thai restuarant, called EE Sane (pronounced as "ee-son"). I really liked my food -- I ordered chicken curry (yellow curry; I didn't know that there are different colors and flavors to curry. I only knew about the yellow one). Jeb got his Kung Bao as hot as HOT can be... and it was HOT and SPICY the way he likes it, to the point he starts to sweat and his face turns all red. I still can't believe that he, an american likes really spicy food. I always had this idea that Americans mostly like and can handle bland food :-p (no offense). So, if you are looking for authentic Thai food in Milwaukee, EE Sane's is the place to go.
Yesterday (Friday) was a bit stressful for me. Even though I know what to expect coming back home to the daily grind and the kids, I just felt overwhelmed. I think maybe it is because it was a Friday and lots of preparing to do before the Sabbath and unpacking and tidying up the house. For one, the kids got up at 6am! I shouldn't have stayed up late. I went to bed at 12:30am watching Terminator, the Sarah Conner Chronicles with Jebby. We watched 3 or 4 episodes (I don't remember anymore). I have to say that we are starting to like that show. I don't know if I can say that it can be at par with BSG (BattleStar Galactica--speaking of which, the first new episode for Season 4 was on Friday, can't wait to watch it after we DL it after sunset. It is THE BEST Sci-Fi fictional-drama show out there, I'm hooked.), but the Terminator shows are quite interesting. We like it. [I am going to go off-track a little bit.] I am also glad that the Smallville shows are starting to get back on track. It was getting so lame and silly, we thought it was boring and annoying. I think they are starting to wrap things up with Smallville (must be the last Season coming up). I am so glad. I've always liked the Smallville episodes until it got to be so stretched out, you can tell they are running out of plots. But now that things are starting to shape up, it is fun and interesting to watch again. :)
Anyway, going back to my Friday. After the kids were up at 6, I was still pretty much half-asleep, half awake. I am definitely NOT a morning person. And then, they didn't want to nap in the afternoon. They were up so early that both of them took a morning nap at 10. The downfall to that morning nap is that they didn't nap in the afternoon and that is the time I get most of my stuff done. Remember the 'not a morning' person... so I usually get my stuff done in the afternoon. After Jeb got home, he decided that he wanted to try and move some furniture around. It was fine since it was a chance for me to vacuum under and behind the furnitures (in prep for the DUB). So that was all good, but then we realized that the current way the furnitures are in the living room is the ONLY way that works for our living room setup. Besides, I CAN NOT carry the aquarium (I tried), even just one side of it... nor the TV stand/center. We'll have to clear it all out, and that will take A LOT of work and we didn't want to deal with it especially the Sabbath approaching. Then, I had to prepare dinner, the kids were hungry and getting really fussy, Jeb had to pick up milk, and to top it all he doesn't feel well. Needless to say, after cooking, feeding the kids, giving them their baths, putting them to bed (all by myself)... And after the kids were in bed... that was when we were able to have dinner, a VERY late dinner. Oh, did I mention that I cut my thumb open with a glass frame when I was cleaning out the kids' bedroom? (it is just a little cut, so not to worry. But the smaller cuts are more annoying than the bigger ones. I can feel the skin opening and closing as I move it.) lol. Sorry for the description.
This morning, after my shower, I had to take care of Jordan. He went No.2 all over himself. Apparently, he was knocking on his bedroom door to let me know he had to go, while I was in the shower. After we fed the kids their breakfast, got them ready for church, we were off to church (Jason was going to give his very first sermonette and Dad (Donn) his first full sermon). As we drive down the higway, Jeb realized the fuel needle is below empty and there aren't any gas stations for the next 10 miles, so we do a U-turn in a NO U-turn area :) to go the nearest exit to get gas. We figured going 1 mile back is better than 10 more miles to find one (cause we're sure we wouldn't have made it. When you have an 18-gallon tank and can put 22 gallons of gas in there, you know you are pretty much running with fumes/vapor. :-p). Now, that the truck is all fueled up, we continue our drive to church in Omro. Suddenly, we hear a cough and then retching. Aubrey puked all over herself and her new car seat (first time she uses it... and she definitely broke it in). I had no change of clothes for her, we decided to head back home and stay home from church today. We would have never made it to church on time. So we do another U-turn, in that same NO U-turn section we just went through when we had to get gas.
We get home... and I had to clean up the mess Aubrey made, on herself and on her seat. Right now, it is sitting on the deck drying. Hope it doesn't smell after it is dried.
Talk about our Sabbath. We are still enjoying the day though, and are in good spirits. Hope you guys had and have a better Sabbath than us :) I am hoping our Sunday is not as bad. :-p

hope things are better for you now..
