I had my 28 weeks doctor's appointment today. To my surprise, I lost 2.5 lbs. You would think this would be a good thing, but not really. One of the main reasons my doctor thinks I lost weight is because I was sick last week and got dehydrated and didn't have the appetite to eat. My doctor wants me now to push in the liquid intake to catch up on my weight gain. If I am not able to catch up with my weight gain with my liquid intake, she has to do an IV on me. I also had my glucose tolerance test done today. This afternoon, I got a phone call from my Dr's office and wanted me to take the 3-hour glucose test because my glucose levels were high. I really was hoping my sugar levels were normal and that I didn't need to get the 3-hour test. It is just because with this test, I have to be poked 3 times in that 3-hour stretch (every 1 hr). And that is NOT fun. I had to do the 3-hour test when I was pregnant with Jordan.
Also, because I was sick last week and dehydrated, I am having a lot more contractions. Sometimes, my contractions would last up to an hour with 3-4 mins intervals (sometimes they feel like menstrual cramping). So, my Dr. advised me to avoid anything that would stimulate and create more contractions. And thus, more liquid intake.
Anyway, other than that... our baby Amberly seems to be doing good. Heartrate was great (149 bpm), and measurement is where it should be.
On a happier note, today was a beautiful day. Weatherwise. It got up to 70 deg! I took the kids outside to play. When Jeb got home, we got to do some yard work... just raking dead leaves off of our yard and plants to help it "grow", and then we went for a walk around the block. The kids and us absolutely enjoyed being outside for once. I'll see if the park is not too muddy anymore, I might take the kids there tomorrow, and if the weather permits.
I wasn't able to get any pregnancy belly pics for weeks 25-27. Sorry! But I am back with the weekly pics, starting with Week 28.

28 weeks pregnant
(Thanks to my dear hubby who has been my weekly belly photographer :) )

If you don't have her before the wedding, I don't know the next time I'll get to see her. So now you understand why you need to plan the day of Amberly's birth around my schedule
